Secure Shell Access
- Requirements:
- Secure Shell Access "enabled" ("disabled" by default, customer must request it to be enabled)
- Secure Shell or SSH capable terminal emulator software
We do not support telnet for shell access due to security issues.
All accounts have shell access initially disabled. Customers must use an SSH enabled client to access the server shell. We will enable shell upon customer request.
Multiple unsucessful login attempts may result in all logins to be disabled for a period of time. This is a security feature of our servers to prevent multiple automated login attempts by unathorized persons.
if you will be idle more than 20 minutes, please exit the shell or you may be logged off by the server.
